  • February 2023: Infineon launched its new tiny MEMS microphone touting high SNR, the 520 APower, as a part of its XENSIV MEMS microphone product family.
  • January 2023: Knowles Corporation launched its latest series of SiSonicMEMS microphones: Titan (digital), Falcon (differential analog), and Robin (single-ended analog). The new trio of microphones provides advanced performance capabilities for space-constrained ear and wearable applications like True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds, smart watches, augmented reality (AR) glasses, and virtual reality (VR) headsets.
  • January 2023: Texas Instruments and TDK announced a strategic partnership on the development of the new i3 Micro Module, the first sensor module in the world with integrated edge AI and wireless mesh connectivity. The new module also combines edge AI, mesh network functionality, TDK's IIM-42352 high-performance SmartIndustrialTMMEMS accelerometer, and a digital output temperature sensor, all of which facilitate data aggregation, integration, and processing.

  • June 2023 - ABB India has been contracted to supply ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India's (AM/NS India) advanced steel cold rolling mill (CRM) in Hazira, Gujarat, with electrification and automation systems, including the ABB Ability System 800xA distributed control system (DCS) and related machinery and supplies. The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for the project, John Cockerill India Limited (JCIL), is responsible for the contract at the flagship manufacturing facility.
  • March 2023 - Bastian Solutions Private Limited showcased numerous products and presentations during this year’s ProMattradeshow, March 20-23, 2023. The company’s booth featured a live system demonstration that integrates multiple technologies, including autonomous vehicles, Bastian Solutions SmartPicK AutoStore, Tompkins Robotics tSort, Bastian Solutions conveyor, and more.
  • March 2023: Siemens Smart Infrastructure launched Connect Box, an open and easy-to-use IoT solution for small- to medium-sized buildings. The latest addition to the Siemens Xceleratorportfolio, Connect Box, is a user-friendly approach for monitoring building performance, with the potential to optimize energy efficiency by up to 30% and to substantially improve indoor air quality in small to medium-sized buildings such as schools and retail shops, apartments or small offices.
  • March 2023: Schneider Electric announced the launch of EcoStruxureBuilding Operation for the Indian market to enhance occupant comfort and increase building value. With the introduction of the new solution, building owners can benefit from data that can be accessed, standardized, and secured with the help of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
  • October 2022: Enerpac announced the SBL600 gantry, the latest addition to its SBL-Super Boom Lift hydraulic gantry range. With a top lifting height of 10.6m, the three-stage telescopic hydraulic cylinder had a foldable boom permitting transportation on traditional flatbed trucks without special permitting and routing requirements. Also, it had a rectangular boom for improved capacity and lifting height with a first-stage capacity of 674t, 562t second stage, and 416t in the third stage. Its structure was optimized for the comfort of transportation, greatly lowering the cost of installment and set-up for this class of gantry.
  • August 2022: HAWE unveiled the mini hydraulic power pack type HICON, developed for recreational boats and delivers a special advantage in numerous applications. It was waterproof & thus resistant to splash water or temporary immersion in water during operation.
  • October 2022: Daifuku North America Holding Company (Daifuku) declared the opening of its latest manufacturing unit in Boyne City, Michigan, USA. The company invested USD 26 million to construct the 225,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility. The building is on 22 acres of land at 300 M-75 South in Boyne City and was expected to be a manufacturing hub for airport baggage handling products and automatic guided vehicles.
  • September 2022: Yanmar America Corporation announced an advanced automated guided vehicle (AGV) solution to its manufacturing facility in Adairsville, GA. The expansion increased production capacity several-fold and improved the quality of products delivered to customers.
  • Apr 2023: A new bio-inspired sensor described in a Nature Communications paper can recognize moving objects in a single frame from a video and successfully predict where they will move to. This smart sensor will be valuable in various fields, including dynamic vision sensing, automatic inspection, industrial process control, robotic guidance, and autonomous driving technology. At the core of their technology is an array of photo memristors, electrical devices that produce an electric current in response to light.
  • March 2023: Khidmah, a prominent integrated facilities management and maintenance company in the Middle East, accomplished a significant milestone by recording 9 million safe working hours over the past 12 months, including 3.5 million safe working hours during the summer.
  • September 2022: The National Water Company (NWC) signed the contract for the management, operation, and maintenance of water services for the Western Cluster, which included the major cities of Jeddah, Makkah, and Taif in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the Alliance organized by SUEZ and Al-Awael Modern Contracting Group (AWAEL) with its Affiliated Civil Works Company (CWC). The 7-year contract has 98 million euros in total revenues. In addition to customer and support services, the agreement includes management of all water and wastewater infrastructure in the Jeddah, Makkah, and Taif regions.
  • June 2022 - Egypt’s MRB executed facility management contracts worth EGP 3 billion (USD 160 million), covering 50 commercial and residential projects nationwide. To jointly supply their services to malls, hotels, and resorts in Egypt, MRB and FACIL, a hospitality management services provider based in Dubai, signed a memorandum of understanding. The two businesses woyild focus on early-stage participation in malls and hospitality projects in Egypt to optimize building and system operations and deliver customer satisfaction.
  • May 2022 - Imdaad Sustainable Facilities Management (FM) services company won a contract worth AED 93 million in UAE. In this contract, the company could offer the FMS provide an extensive range of industry-leading services, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), air conditioning (HVAC), heating, ventilation, and civil works, for its clients operating in a variety of sectors such retail, hospitality, real estate, and healthcare.
  • Apr 2023: Sodexo Facilities Management Services India Private Limited Sodexo signed an MOU with the Ministry of Skill Development of India and launched the Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) under the aegis of NSDC and India Skill Development Initiative to offer first-time employment opportunities to the frontline workforce working in the food & catering and facilities management spaces.

  • February 2023 - ENGIE Impact announced its partnership with Mölnlycke to move from strategy to implementation. ENGIE is expanding its low-carbon energy expertise from Mölnlycke's operations in Malaysia, which is the company's global operations. Mölnlycke and ENGIE have entered a 15-year, low-carbon energy and services partnership to support Mölnlycke's ambitious new mid- and long-term greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets.
  • July 2022 -The carbon management tool "GRAVITY" from Gravity Climate has been made available to industrial enterprises and their supply chain partners. support cost-effective decarbonization and long-term profitability while assisting them in managing their carbon footprint. The business also disclosed multiple new customer engagements with mid-sized manufacturers, industrial-focused private equity companies, and an initial investment of USD 5 million from Eclipse Ventures. The potential to integrate new technologies into industrial supply chains, which are responsible for more than 40% of all greenhouse gas emissions, served as the impetus for the software. The program focuses on sectors like construction, metals, and energy services that have substantial physical operations and infrastructure. For many industries, lowering their emissions also lowers consumer supply chain emissions.
  • April 2023: The City of Port Aransas in Texas chose Stantec to oversee a restoration plan for the 13.5 acres of ecosystems contained inside the Nature Preserve at Charlie's Pasture. Due to damaged shorelines brought on by Hurricane Harvey's damage in 2017, the area has been underwater. The Stantec team is expected to lead the project's planning and management to boost visitor use, wildlife ecosystems, and resilience mechanisms for potential storm surges. In addition to planning, the team will identify sediment, analyze the state of the nearby marsh, and immediately mobilize employees.
