The textile export value grew by 34% in 2021 as compared to growth in value that was 41% in 2019.
The region is also becoming the world's largest high-end home textile and garment re-export center for countries such as Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Iraq. Moreover, the net exports are showing declining trend as can be concluded to rising demand for imported home textiles and prints from China, India, and Pakistan. If we consider overall export of UAE it has observed a continuous increase till 2019 with 389.37 bn USD and decline with covid to 319.28 bn USD.
