  • July 2022: The US sweetener producer Sweegen introduced a new liquid stevia line, Bestevia LQ, at IFT FIRST, the Institute of Food Technologists meeting and exposition in Chicago. The sweeteners are intended to lower sugar in products, including concentrated fruit/flavored syrup, confectionary, liquid sweeteners, dessert toppings, and carbonated soft beverages.
  • March 2022: Cargill announced its strategy of sweetening its stevia products with the commercial availability of its EverSweet + ClearFlo technology. Combining Cargill’s stevia sweetener with a natural flavor, the new sweetener system provides multiple benefits, including flavor modification, faster dissolution, and improved solubility and stability in formulations, according to the company.
  • July 2021: Layn built a new stevia plant to help meet the increasing global demand for natural sweeteners. It invested USD 148 million to build a new production facility capable of annual processing of 4,000 tons of stevia leaf extract.
  • June 2022: Kensing, LLC, a renowned manufacturer specializing in natural vitamin E, plant sterols, and high-purity surfactants, and a portfolio company of One Rock Capital Partners, LLC, has recently completed the acquisition of Vitae Naturals. Vitae Naturals, a prominent producer of plant sterol esters and non-GMO natural vitamin E derivatives, caters to a diverse range of industries, including food, nutrition, and skincare.
  • February 2022: Orah Nutrichem Pvt Ltd, situated in Pune, is one of India's leading manufacturers of natural vitamin E. The company has launched ORAH Vit E, a natural anti-oxidant based on tocotrienols, as well as other variants. The company claims that the product is a powerful anti-oxidant with exceptional cardiovascular and neurotic benefits apart from being a great cosmetic anti-oxidant. Orah Vit E is renowned for its exceptional anti-aging properties within the cosmetic industry.

Desmet was a division of the Desmet Ballestra Group. The acquisition strengthened Alfa Laval's position in the field of renewable energy and helped the company expand its range of edible oils.
  • November 2021: Cargill acquired an edible oil refinery located in Nellore in Andhra Pradesh. Cargill’s investment to acquire and upgrade the facility will significantly expand its edible oil production capacity and footprint in southern India and strengthen its existing supply chain to meet growing customer demand.
  • November 2021: To build the new facility in the HoogTij industrial district of the Port of Amsterdam, Bunge announced its plans to invest more than EUR 300 million (USD 343 million) for the expansion project.
