• July 2022: The US sweetener producer Sweegen introduced a new liquid stevia line, Bestevia LQ, at IFT FIRST, the Institute of Food Technologists meeting and exposition in Chicago. The sweeteners are intended to lower sugar in products, including concentrated fruit/flavored syrup, confectionary, liquid sweeteners, dessert toppings, and carbonated soft beverages.
• March 2022: Cargill announced its strategy of sweetening its stevia products with the commercial availability of its EverSweet + ClearFlo technology. Combining Cargill’s stevia sweetener with a natural flavor, the new sweetener system provides multiple benefits, including flavor modification, faster dissolution, and improved solubility and stability in formulations, according to the company.
• July 2021: Layn built a new stevia plant to help meet the increasing global demand for natural sweeteners. It invested USD 148 million to build a new production facility capable of annual processing of 4,000 tons of stevia leaf extract.

• June 2022: Kensing, LLC, a renowned manufacturer specializing in natural vitamin E, plant sterols, and high-purity surfactants, and a portfolio company of One Rock Capital Partners, LLC, has recently completed the acquisition of Vitae Naturals. Vitae Naturals, a prominent producer of plant sterol esters and non-GMO natural vitamin E derivatives, caters to a diverse range of industries, including food, nutrition, and skincare.
• February 2022: Orah Nutrichem Pvt Ltd, situated in Pune, is one of India's leading manufacturers of natural vitamin E. The company has launched ORAH Vit E, a natural anti-oxidant based on tocotrienols, as well as other variants. The company claims that the product is a powerful anti-oxidant with exceptional cardiovascular and neurotic benefits apart from being a great cosmetic anti-oxidant. Orah Vit E is renowned for its exceptional anti-aging properties within the cosmetic industry.
• December 2021: The Kensing company announced its partnership with Azelis for a better and more feasible distribution of vegetable oils, vitamins, and personal care products in Europe and the Middle East, and Africa. Azelis has a strong distribution network across these regions in the B2B segment. The company mainly aims to distribute its mainstream products Covi-ox, Covitol, Copherol, and Generol.
• June 2021: One Rock Capital acquired the specialty chemical facility and other business segments from BASF in Kankakee, Illinois, United States. The firm aims to upgrade the facility and manufacture vegetable oils, natural vitamin E, and other specialty chemicals in the plant.

• August 2020: AFFCO's Renco invested multi-millions of dollars in increasing their rennet production capacity. The company has partnered with The Cheese Connection, a distributor that supplies Renco’s rennet to the United States. The expansion had doubled the company’s production capacity of rennet, which in turn strengthened its relationship with The Cheese Connection.
• January 2020: PunatureFood Ingredient Co. Ltd. started the production of chymosin, also known as rennin, in their China manufacturing unit.
• November 2019: DSM announced its acquisition of specialty dairy solutions provider Koninklijke CSK Food Enrichment CV in a deal worth around EUR 150 million. CSK's modernized dairy application center in Food Valley, Wageningen, will be included in the deal. With its high-tech fermentation plant in Leeuwarden, it will also become part of DSM's global production network.

• March 2022: Alfa Laval acquired Desmet, a well-known player in the engineering and supply of processing facilities and technologies for the edible oil and biofuel sectors. Desmet was a division of the Desmet Ballestra Group. The acquisition strengthened Alfa Laval's position in the field of renewable energy and helped the company expand its range of edible oils.
• November 2021: Cargill acquired an edible oil refinery located in Nellore in Andhra Pradesh. Cargill’s investment to acquire and upgrade the facility will significantly expand its edible oil production capacity and footprint in southern India and strengthen its existing supply chain to meet growing customer demand.
• November 2021: To build the new facility in the HoogTij industrial district of the Port of Amsterdam, Bunge announced its plans to invest more than EUR 300 million (USD 343 million) for the expansion project. According to the company, it was a crucial step in leveraging Bunge's asset footprint in Europe and was expected to help the company achieve more operational flexibility and efficiency. With the help of the new facility, the company aims to offer a wider range of cutting-edge culinary oils and fats made from sustainably harvested plants, better positioning its brand to satisfy growing consumer demand.

• May 2021: Kerry has announced it will a purpose-build food technology and innovation center of excellence in Queensland, Australia. The facility acted as the new headquarters for Kerry in Australia and New Zealand while its existing facility in Sydney will retain a specialist research and development applications hub. With end-to-end capabilities including pilot plants, laboratories and tasting facilities, the new Kerry Australia and New Zealand Development and Application Centre in Brisbane increased Kerry’s R&D capacity in the region.
• April 2021: ADM opened a new cutting-edge, plant-based innovation lab in ADM's Biopolis research hub in Singapore. The lab develops advanced products and customized solutions to meet the increasing food and beverage demand in the Asia-Pacific region. The ADM Biopolis research hub in Singapore features a wide range of capabilities, including a food and flavor analytic lab, a beverage and dairy applications lab and pilot plant, a bakery and confectionery lab, a meat and savory lab, a sweet and savory creation lab, sensory evaluation facilities, and a customer innovation center, in addition to the new plant-based innovation lab.
• February 2021: NZMP, Fonterra's dairy ingredients business, launched a new protein ingredient that delivers 10% more protein than other standard whey protein offerings.

• In April 2022, one of the United States whey protein isolate brands, Isopure, which is a part of Glanbia PLC's subsidiary Glanbia Performance Nutrition, announced its plans to manufacture its whey protein products in India in partnership with Tirupati Lifesciences.
• In April 2021, Anihac Pharma launched its gainer whey protein nutritional supplement in chocolate flavor in India. The company targets fitness enthusiasts and athletes by offering products that serve the purpose of bodybuilding.
• In September 2022, with the introduction of a range of new products in India, the health supplement brand Dyet Nutrition announced the extension of its product line. Dyed Nutrition introduced whey protein concentrates in chocolate and vanilla flavors, supported by a robust R&D process.

• In October 2021, Omega-3 concentrates supplier GC Rieber VivoMega announced its plans to expand production facilities and storage tanks to accommodate more ingredients in the upcoming years.
• In September 2021, KD Pharma Group introduced Alga3, a sustainable, vegan omega-3 solution. KD Nutra's superior technology and production flexibility allow for a wide range of omega-3 concentrates. This means the company can customize the EPA and DHA ratio on customer needs, and for any kd-pür fish oil, there is a matching Alga3 plant-based solution.
• In May 2021, AlgaeCytes Limited announced plans to build its first commercial plant in Dessau, Saxon-Anhalt, Germany. The plant will be owned and operated by the Company’s German subsidiary, AlgaeCytes Germany GmbH.

• May 2022: Kerry Group opened a new EUR 38 million (USD 40 million) manufacturing plant in Africa. The 10,000-square-meter plant is to produce sustainable nutrition products that will be consumed across Africa. The facility will advance Kerry’s F&B production capacity by 40% to 40,000 tons per annum and expect to reach 50,000 tons in a future expansion.
• February 2022: Givaudan launched PrimeLock+, a patent-pending, natural, vegan-friendly integrated solution miming animal fat cells, enabling food companies to take plant-based product development and consumer satisfaction to a new level.
• November 2021: Tate & Lyle PLC, a leading global provider of food and beverage solutions and ingredients, and Nutriati, an ingredient technology company developing solutions from one of the industry’s most functional plant-based ingredients, signed an exclusive five-year partnership for Tate & Lyle to distribute high-quality, sustainable chickpea protein and flour.

• September 2022: The FrieslandCampina company launched Biotis GOS-OP High Purity in the Asia-Pacific region (APAC). Using the company's high-level galactooligosaccharides (GOS) ingredient, it hopes to fill the market gap and fuel supplement innovation relating to prebiotics.
• February 2022: Royal DSM, a global, purpose-led, science-based company active in nutrition, health, and sustainable living, announced that it had bolstered its capabilities as an end-to-end partner for North American customers in the gut health space.
• November 2021: ADM acquired DeerlandProbiotics & Enzymes, a leader in probiotic, prebiotic, and enzyme technology, with global sales and manufacturing in the United States and Europe. The acquisition will help ADM use Deerland’s capabilities and portfolio to deliver synergies for its Health and Wellness business and support its growth across the Nutrition business unit.

• October 2022: Fooditive, a Dutch ingredients start-up, launched a product called LowSalt that says it is twice as salty as conventional salt.
• June 2022: Jungbunzlauer introduced zinc gluconate and monomagnesium citrate as new mineral salts. High-purity zinc sources are used to neutralize gluconic acid to produce zinc gluconate. Sodium citrate monomagnesium is a magnesium salt that has been partially neutralized by citric acid.
• May 2021: CarberyGroup acquired Innova Flavors from Griffiths Food Worldwide. Innova supplies customized savory flavors and ingredients to customers from its manufacturing facility in the Chicago area. Its acquisition strengthens the “Synergy” Carbery’s international flavors business, with its US headquarters in the Chicago region.
